Control
This stunning film, directed by photographer Anton Corbijn, explores the life of Joy Division front man Ian Curtis. Beautifully captured in austere black-and-white, the film displays Curtis's troubles with disturbing accuracy. Stricken by a debilitating illness and the guilt of his infidelity, Curtis took his own life on the eve of Joy Division's first American tour. He was 22 years old.
