Santi White, or Santogold, breaks so many musical boundaries she is difficult to categorize. We love that here at Thirsty. Santi's roots are in punk and dub. As leader singer for the Philly band Stiffed, she released a 2003 EP produced by Daryl Jenifer of Bad Brains. Her 2008 album, "Santogold", features cameos by close friends Diplo and MIA, to whom she is often compared. Both artists are known for their meshing of punk, world beats, tribal drumming, and electronica for a truly original sound.
